30th Anniversary Reunions for the ‘95 Senior & U/19 Premiership Teams: Sat May 31st
1995 was an historic year for the Beauy Sharks as the Club made the momentous decision to leave the Southern F. L. and move across to the Victorian Amateur Football Association. There were a lot of factors involved in reaching this decision and in our next edition we will tell the story of how it all came about thirty years ago.
It was certainly a successful start to our VAFA participation when the Seniors and the U/19’s both raised the cup at their respective Grand Finals.
It was the Seniors first VAFA flag of five – ’95, ’97, 2003, 2010 & 2016 – and they were only one win short of an undefeated season.
This was the first U/19 team ever fielded by the BFC and kicked off a great addition to the club with flags in 2000, 2008 & 2023 to follow.
On Sat May 31st there will be a Luncheon for Coaches, Players & Officials of both teams and next week we will supply the booking details to purchase tickets for that event.
