Great to see our Under 19s get up yesterday against Collegians at home.
It's been a challenging season for this team and first year coach Michael Schmerling, who also coaches our U17s.
The pressures of school footy, Dragons, injuries and the lure of other clubs has put our 17s & 19s under disproportionate pressure this year.
There wasn't a round where Michael was able to field somewhere near his best team, until yesterday that is. So it was really pleasing to see the boys get up and win yesterday by 31 points against Collegians.
A number of these boys also play in the U17s, so for them it was doubly pleasing.
A tremendous result for the club, particularly from a future stand point. Post game President Terry Lucas praised the boys for their resilience and loyalty.
Congratulations to Coach Schmerling, his assistant Simon Crompton, Team Manager Harry Baruhas and especially to all the players. Well done guys!
