After two winning away games, both Senior Men’s teams return to Oak Street to take on Mazenod, who are coached by former Essendon Player and St.Kilda Reserves Coach, Peter Banfield. Our two teams are now in the four and the same four teams sit there in both the Reserves & Senior competitions – AJAX, Parkdale, St.Bedes/Mentone & Beaumaris – and our prediction is that these same four teams will fight out the Finals’ series in both grades.
This Saturday starts a block of three big weekends at Oak Street, with the Seniors this week, then the two Women’s Teams playing in the Commemorative matches for Holly Bowles & Bianca Jones on the 24th May against Fitzroy and on the 31st May we have the Reunion Luncheon for the 1995 Senior & Under 19 Premiership teams while we host Marcellin in the Senior matches. Then follows the Bye weekend for the King’s Birthday!
We hope to see plenty of our Members and Supporters at Shark Park over the next three weeks!
This week the two Under 19 teams (2nd & 4th) will travel to the two Uni's – Melbourne & Monash – to play sides ranked just below them and wins for these sides would help consolidate their push towards Finals as well.
