As usual the Beauy RSL & Beauy Football Club combined to put on a Luncheon & Ceremony worthy of the occasion, and it was terrific to have a dozen Past Players from the ‘60’s attend and line up in that photo above. Included are 9 of the surviving 11 members of the ’65 Undefeated Premiership team – the Club’s first flag. Also appreciated was the attendance of some of Major Frank Reade’s family as Frank, who spent time in the notorious Changi Prison Camp and then on The Burma Railway, was honoured for his roles as Coach of the ’65 Premiers and later as Secretary/Manager of the Beaumaris RSL. We also had with us, Jane Byrne, the Daughter of Inaugural & ’65 President, Peter Eldred, plus Jan Sheldrake, Jan Kirkby & Sue Kelly.
