Our Club Physiotherapist Lauren Brereton has been conducting consultation sessions at the BSC at the club on a Mondays (4-6pm) for JUNIOR players. She does 10 minute assessments and then either recommends they see her for further treatment, refers them for scans or refers them to the for specialist treatment. At times she has Dr David Velten, Sports Doctor, come down for further assessment. This is a brilliant service that the club is providing.
In addition we are now offering a top shelf podiatry presence with Bayside Sports Podiatry at the same time on Mondays
They can offer foot and ankle injury assessment, football boot/running shoe checks and recommendations.
Podiatrist Julia Oppedisano, from Bayside Sports Podiatry, will be attending the sessions, and will be available to briefly assess any foot-related injuries, and conduct footwear reviews of boots and runners.
As a Podiatrist working in a Sports Podiatry clinic, Julia has extensive knowledge in footwear, and a specialist interest in musculo-skeletal lower limb and foot injuries, as well as skin and nail conditions of the feet.
