U17 BOYS WIN IN OVERTIME TO CREATE HISTORY

In one of the most amazing games witnessed in Club history, our U17 boys snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Chelt/Highett last Sunday, coming from 3 goals behind in the last Qtr to force an overtime playoff.

In the end we won the Grand Final: 12.3-75 to 9.8-62

With everything on the line in O/T, Kyle Yorke and Jacquin Misfud took two incredible contested marks that resulted in goals.

But the defining moment was Nat Bazzini on the sideline confronted by 4 opponents. Through sheer strength and determination Bazz went straight through the contest and kicked the ball to advantage. It was inspirational and defined what this team and age group are all about!

Congrats to Kyle Yorke who won Best on Ground and Coach Res Ryan who has been brilliant all year.

For 10 boys it will be 6 consecutive premierships. We will acknowledge those boys in the forthcoming days.

But for today, an U17 DIV1 Premiership, which is the premier Junior title, remains at the Beaumaris Football Club, thanks to this incredible team.

When the boys came back to the club tonight they wanted to sing the Victory song in the middle of Banksia Reserve, which they did. It was a brilliant and emotional moment.

To our U17's - We Salute You!
